Purchased this CD storage case from Ikea. It has perfect dimensions to display model cars 1/18 scale and under. Designed to be mounted against wall, but I decided to mount it within the wall to avoid an awkward extruding look. There is a storage room behind the unit, that allowed me to easily create solid supports for the case. I believe it can also be mounted within a regular wall, but it would require more work. Holds most of my favourite cars. Additional glass shelves can be purchased if you wish to decrease the space between each shelf and add more cars. Includes a light at the top but is insufficient. I will add individual spot lights for each car in the future.
